Student Policy & Information

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Student should be in the classroom at the start time with all materials needed for the lesson such as the book.
  • Teacher will begin the class right at the start time of the half hour session. If student is not present, teacher will wait for the first 15 minutes of class. If the student does not enter the classroom within the first 15 minutes, then it is noted as an unexcused absence/no show for the student.
  • If the student joins the session late, then he/she will use the remaining time within that session.
  • If the teacher is not in the classroom, please contact us immediately so that we can address the problem promptly. 
  • A substitute teacher will always be available in the case of the absence of the teacher. In the case that a substitute is not available, then a make up session will be provided to the student without any additional cost.
  • In order to protect the privacy of the teacher and the student, the teacher or the student are not allowed to audio/video record any session without prior permission from Wahy Institute

ABSENSES

  • If student misses the class for any reason, there is no make up for that session.
  • If the teacher misses the class, then a make up will be provided to the student.
  • No refunds or credit is given for any missed classes either by the student or the teacher.
  • The only off days from classes are the days related to Eid. The students will be informed of the Eid vacation days. No credit or refunds are given for the Eid vacation days.

TEACHER ASSIGNMENT CHANGES

  • It is possible in the case of a teacher being unable to continue teaching that we may assign a new teacher to the student. This is rare, but may happen. In that case, we will do our due diligence to make sure the student and the new teacher are introduced to one another and there is little to no impact on the instruction.

CLASS MATERIALS

  • Wahy Institute provides instruction in Arabic, Quran and Islamic Studies. The student is responsible for all the required material such as books that is needed for the classes.
  • The Wahy Institute may provide any PDF material if available to the student at no additional cost.

CLASSROOM CONDUCT

  • The student must keep the camera on throughout the instruction session.
  • The student must attend classes in a quiet place. In the case, that there is too much noise that hinders the teacher from either hearing the student clearly or to teach the student, then the teacher may end the session and file a complaint to the administration.

CLASSROOM & TEACHER-STUDENT POLICY

  • Students and Teachers must maintain a professional relationship at all times, limiting conversation to only the instruction. Students and teachers must not share any personal information with one another.
  • Teachers are strictly prohibited to ask student for personal information, favors or monetary gifts/loans. Should a teacher ask the student for anything, including money, student must decline and report to the administration immediately!
  • For security measures, students and teachers are not allowed to organize any schedule or class outside of the assigned schedules by Wahy Institute.
  • Any complaints of teachers abusing their teacher-student relationship, in any way, must be reported immediately to info@wahyinstitute.com.
  • Should a student neglect this policy, Wahy Institute will take necessary action to resolve the issue with the teacher, but Wahy Institute is not responsible for any loss to the student.

STUDENT SUPPORT TEAM

  • If you have any questions or need advice about course plans, levels, or customizing your course, you can contact the student support to assist you. Any scheduling requests or general requests about classes should be taken care of directly through Wahy Institute. Contact us: info@wahyinstitute.com.

TUTION POLICY

  • Tuition is billed on the 1st of every month automatically through autopayment.
  • If the payment is not submitted by the maximum of the 7th of the month, the classes will be paused until the payment is submitted successfully.
  • A one-time registration fee of $15 per student is charged with the first month’s tuition.
  • Returning students will not be charged a registration fee.
  • All discounts to tuition are courtesy-based. Wahy Institute has the right to apply or cancel discounts anytime.
  • Once the tuition is charged, no refunds or credit is granted to the student.
  • If in any case, the student wishes to cancel the classes, he/she must inform the institute prior to the 1st of the new month. The classes cannot be cancelled after the tuition has been charged.

NOTE: Wahy Institute reserves the right to periodic tuition increases for all students who are enrolled.

PRIVACY

  • The official privacy policy is located here.
  • The privacy of each and every student is important to us. The administration will not share or sell any information about any student to any third parties.
  • The student policy is written with student’s privacy and safety in mind. Therefore, it is important for students to comply with this policy.
  • Students are responsible for updating the administration with any changes to their profile. This includes e-mail address, billing address, phone number, etc.
  • Students are to not share any personal information or accounts (such as email, Skype, Facebook, etc.) with teachers or staff members, unless communicating through our info@wahyinstitute.com email.

GIVING GIFTS TO TEACHERS

  • Wahy Institute understands that students would like to give gifts to their teachers for various occasions. If the student chooses to send a gift to the teacher, then it must be with the prior approval of Wahy Institute.
  • All gifts must be monetary and sent through Wahy Institute ONLY. Physical gifts are not allowed.

COMPLAINTS POLICY

  • Any complaints from our students are taken very seriously and will be addressed as soon as possible.
  • If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your course, please contact us immediately info@wahyinstitute.com so that we can fix the problem.

LIABILITY POLICY

  • Wahy Institute holds no responsibility for consequences of neglecting the institute policy.
  • Wahy Institute is not responsible for any actions or comments by teachers. 
  • Failure to abide by these rules and procedures may result in cancellation of the classes.

UNAUTHORIZED USED OF CONTENT

  • Any content, publications, or class material is solely for the use of a student with Wahy Institute.  It may not be copied, published, distributed, or changed in any way without the written authorization from Wahy Institute.  All content on website and in portal is copyrighted by Wahy Institute and may not be reproduced in any way.  We reserve the right to discontinue services to anyone who uses or takes our content illegally, which may results in legal actions as well.
